When FLOW Formalwear announced that Mike Sorrentino (aka “The Situation”) from reality TV series ‘The Jersey Shore’ was going to be the celebrity face for their new line of tuxedos, we were admittedly… concerned? Confused? We didn’t really get why anyone would choose for a tuxedo line spokesperson a guy best know for losing his shirt. And predictably, after FLOW announced their press release, the move created a ton of buzz and controversy across a vast expansion of venues. Everyone, including us, had an opinion about Mike Sorrentino and his latest gig. But what we didn’t hear much about was the actual merchandise being promoted.
The two biggest buyers of formal wear business selected FLOW Formal to manufacture private label programs with top fashion gown manufacturers, Vera Wang and Tony Bowls. The two separate licensing arrangement between Vera Wang, Men’s Wearhouse and Tony Bowls, Jim’s Formalwear required a manufacture with the wherewithal and financial ability to produce and deliver massive quantities of products in a very tight delivery window.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wrapped up a weekend-long birthday celebration for his baby sister, Melissa, with his family at Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas over the weekend. The “Jersey Shore” superstar indulged Melissa with a birthday dinner at our sweet eatery, along with his mother Linda, brothers, Marc and Frank Jr., and Melissa’s beau, Michael Sussman.
